"Planet Aid congratulates DAPP Malawi, for its achievement," said Ester Neltrup, Planet Aid President and CEO. "We have been supporting the DAPP teacher training colleges for many years, helping it to expand their reach to improve the quality of education. This UNESCO award is a recognition of DAPP's hard work and its dedication to making a difference for the people of Malawi."
The UNESCO prize was created in 2008 to support the improvement of teaching and learning quality in achieving the UN's "Education for All" goals. The winners are selected by an international jury comprised of five distinguished professionals chosen for their expertise and experience in the pedagogical field.
DAPP had been previously recognized by UNESCO for the quality of its teacher-training program in 2014. Read more about the programs Planet Aid supports in Malawi by clicking here.
