Planet Aid offices are working with schools around the country to help educate and inspire children to protect the environment.
Planet Aid is now a sponsor of Green Schools, a Massachusetts-based nonprofit that develops and distributes resources that help students, schools, and communities engage the next generation of environmental leaders. Teachers and students in the Green Schools program are invited to partner with their local Planet Aid on eco-friendly service projects. Representatives from Planet Aid will also be at the Green Schools National Conference in early March.
The Planet Aid Earth Day Art Contest offers schools all over the world the chance to show their dedication to the environment. Elementary school students are encouraged to submit a work of art pertaining to the theme "It's Our Turn to Lead." Winners will be announced on Earth Day, April 22, and have their work published in the Planet Aid Post (as well as the opportunity to win exciting regional prizes).
In local communities, Planet Aid employees are educating the youth through school recycling presentations. Check out some thank you letters below received after Planet Aid Territory Managers John Kenny and Dan Deluca visited Mrs. Szeremet's and Ms. Pavlus' third grade classroom at John Muir Elementary School in Northern Ohio.
