In honor of Earth Day, Planet Aid staff participated in Howard County's 20 Minute Cleanup for the fourth consecutive year. The 20-minute cleanup is an annual county-wide project to celebrate spring and Earth Day. Many businesses, schools, community groups, neighbors, and individuals who live and/or work in Howard County are encouraged to spend at least 20 minutes picking up trash to help keep the community and environment clean.
Eighteen staff members spent time cleaning up litter around the Elkridge office park on the afternoon of Friday, April 13. They collected over 15 bags of trash weighing 57 pounds total, cardboard boxes, metal scraps, and a baseball bat. Below are a few photos from the cleanup:
