In June, Planet Aid helped sponsor the Long Drive golf competition in Peabody, Massachusetts. The competition was held in memory of Dan Pimenta, a local fireman who passed away in July of 2017, and raised funds to support drug education and prevention in the area.
This weekend, the funds from that competition are being put to use during the Fifth Annual Colton Buckley road race. At a free pasta dinner the night before the race (Nov. 10), participants will learn how to administer naloxone to someone suffering from an opioid overdose, and 20 participates will receive a free dose of the opioid-overdose antidote to take with them.
Planet Aid is happy to contribute to the betterment of the communities we serve. To help us make a difference, find a yellow donation bin near you.
