There are many locally based NGOs and nonprofits in developing countries that are doing great work on the ground. However, they often lack the resources and staff to expand the good work that they do.
Our Approach
Planet Aid provides training and capacity building assistance to development organizations around the globe. In a development context, "capacity building" often refers to strengthening the skills, competencies, and abilities of people and communities in developing societies so they can overcome the causes of their exclusion and suffering. Planet Aid's capacity-building assistance is directed at local development organizations who are working to empower communities to lift themselves out of poverty.
The assistance takes various forms, from support in meeting the requirements of U.S. development agencies in obtaining grant support to technical training for program staff in implementing project activities. The goal is to enhance the organization’s abilities to perform specific activities and develop internally so they can better fulfill their defined mission.
