Mindfulness & Consumerism - Free Lesson Plans
This month's Planet Aid Scholar’s Club lesson plans and eco-challenge, designed to inspire your students to adopt mindful, sustainable habits in 2025. As we kick off the year, we focus on the theme Mindfulness and Consumerism, exploring the relationship between consumer choices, environmental impact, and the importance of reducing, reusing, and repurposing.
January Eco-Challenge: Waste Not, Create A Lot
Deadline: January 31
Get creative and make a positive impact on the environment! This month, we're challenging students to repurpose items they already have in the classroom instead of buying new ones.
Ideas to Get Started:
- Turn old jars into pencil holders
- Create artwork from scrap materials
- Refurbish old furniture into something new and useful
We can’t wait to see your innovative ideas! Submit photos of your projects and show how you're making a difference.
How to Submit:
Email your photos to cjones@planetaid.org by January 31.
Let’s reduce waste and inspire others to think sustainably. Happy repurposing!
