Hoodies, often treasured tokens of love during relationships and lingering reminders after breakups, are at the heart of this initiative—encouraging singles to donate these emotional keepsakes to support sustainability and global communities in need.

How #ItsGivingSZN Works

  1. Donate In-Person or Online: Starting December 11, singles can drop off their ex’s hoodie clothing at BLK x Planet Aid branded donation bins in major cities throughout the U.S. (Find a Bin)—or use the form below to mail items from anywhere in the U.S.
  2. Receive a Fresh Fit: Donors will receive a new BLK hoodie as a thank-you for their generosity.
  3. Support Sustainability: All donated items will be repurposed by Planet Aid to benefit global communities and reduce environmental waste.

BLK also covers postage costs

  1. Fill out the form with hoodie size. You'll then be redirected to print a label.
  2. Print a shipping label (BLK will pay the $20 for your label)
  3. Pack up to 70 pounds of your items in a box and drop off at any UPS. The length of the box's longest side plus the distance around its thickest part may not exceed 108 inches.
  4. Generate a tax receipt for your donation.

Why National Breakup Day?

Breakups happen all year, but December 11—“National Breakup Day”—has become infamous as singles reevaluate their relationships before the holiday season. According to a recent survey, 75% of singles have found themselves unattached just in time for the holidays. Hoodies, often left behind during the split, linger as physical reminders of relationships past.
